How to Study Shakespeare
A Few Ideas For Getting Started:
- Read one or two re-tellings to learn the plot of the play
- Read a book about Shakespeare and his times
- Act out scenes from the play (using own words)
- Draw pictures of the play (if artistic and so inclined!)
- Read aloud a few of the more exciting speeches and scene
- Watch a video / DVD of the play
- Read (and act out) as much of the play as excites your child’s interest
- Best of all, see a live performance!
