HOW TO STUDY SHAKESPEARE

NOTES AND IDEAS
A Few Ideas For Getting Started

  • Read one or two re-tellings to learn the plot of the play
  • Read a book about Shakespeare and his times
  • Act out scenes from the play (using own words)
  • Draw pictures of the play (if artistic and so inclined!)
  • Read aloud a few of the more exciting speeches and scene
  • Watch a video / DVD of the play
  • Read (and act out) as much of the play as excites your child's interest
  • Best of all, see a live performance!
